Six R-MC Swimmers Named to All-ODAC Squad
Fresh off a second-place finish at the ODAC/Atlantic States Championships, the Randolph-Macon Swimming team placed six student-athletes on the All-ODAC team, while Ellie Shea was the recipient of the 2010 Bonnie Kestner Sportsmanship Award.

R-MC Swimming Takes Second at ODAC/Atlantic States Championships
Randolph-Macon Swimming secured second place with 225 points in the final day of the ODAC/Atlantic States Championships Sunday in Radford. The Yellow Jackets totaled 602 points in the meet, edging out Sweet Briar College with 537 and taking second behind Washington and Lee, who won their third straight championship.

R-MC Swimming touched first in six of eleven events but, could not overcome Sweetbriar College who got past the Yellow Jackets 48-47 in Ashland Saturday. Randolph-Macon finished ahead of Greensboro College 66-18 in a non-conference matchup.

Sarah Almond took first place in three individual events as Randolph-Macon Swimming earned a 150-100 victory over Bridgewater College Saturday in Ashland. R-MC took first place in 11 of the 12 events along with both exhibitions.

The Randolph-Macon Swimming team captured its own Yellow Jacket Invitational Championship on Saturday in Ashland, scoring a meet best 685 points to take the top spot over Mount St. Mary's, which placed second with 591 points.
