Lizzy Buckley Earns ODAC Swimmer of the Week Honors
ASHLAND, Va--- Lizzy Buckley was the second Randolph-Macon swimmer to be named Swimmer of the Week Monday afternoon.
Buckley, a senior from Springfield, Va., led the Yellow Jackets to a 157-103 victory over Catholic on senior day in Ashland. She picked up three wins on the afternoon to lead her team in her final home meet. She finished ahead of the pack in the 200-yard freestyle (1:58.67), the 200-yard butterfly (2:21.81) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.63). Buckley's time in the 200-yard free is the third-best in the ODAC this season, while her showing in the 100-yard fly is fourth amongst league competition.
The women return to action February 10th when they travel to Greensboro, NC to compete in the ODAC Championships. Times are to be announced.
