Randolph-Macon Swimming Takes 2007 Yellow Jacket Invitational

 ASHLAND, VA - The Randolph-Macon College swimming team won all but one event as it garnered 692 points to win its own 2007 Yellow Jacket Invitational which was capped off on Saturday morning in Ashland.

Hood College finished second with 413 points while Bridgewater College placed third with 273 points. The Eagles were followed by Randolph College (250 points), College of Notre Dame (186 points) and Hollins University (171 points).

Meredith Bagenstose (200 & 400 IM, 200 butterfly), Marlene Graf (200 & 500 free), Randi Smith (100 and 200 breast stroke), Laura Belch (50 & 100 free) and Hallie Stewart (100 and 200 back stroke) were all multiple individual winners for the Yellow Jackets.

The relay team of Stewart, Belch, Schafer Busch and Maureen McLaughlin won the 200 yard freestyle, while Graf, Bagenstose, McLaughlin and Aimee Powell took the 800 yard free style.

R-MC will be off until January 12 when it will welcome Bridgewater College to Ashland for a 1:00 p.m. ODAC dual meet.
