ATTENTION:  New “BUZZ” characters are needed!!!!!

 We are seeking students to play “Buzz” at our basketball games and other College and community events for the J-Term and Spring Term sessions. No prior mascot experience is needed, though you will need to do a small tryout and interview.  Candidates will be expected to “perform” some mascot actions and reactions to a variety of game situations as well as timeout performances. Candidates are welcome to come with their own prepared performance as an alternative, but this is not required. For further information, contact Coach Susan Cassidy at SusanCassidy@rmc.edu.

Randolph-Macon Spirit Groups

Our Yellow Jackets Cheer and Dance Teams lead the way in showing our Randolph-Macon School pride and spirit! Throughout the year, these groups support athletic teams, student organizations, college events and charities around the Ashland and Metro Richmond areas!

The Cheerleading Team demonstrates coordinated stunting and tumbling skills exemplary of the athletic sport cheerleading has become while leading our crowd in vocal expressions of school spirit!

The Dance Team brings flash and pizzazz to the school's spirit effort demonstrating that our school spirit can be shown with style and finesse. Partnered with the Cheerleaders, our Dance Team is helping take the Randolph-Macon show of pride to new levels!

COACH'S PROFILE

Susan Cassidy is in her 10th year coaching at Randolph-Macon College. She is a former University of Pittsburgh Cheer captain with two National Cheerleading Association national championship titles from 1991 and 1992. Through her collegiate experience, Susan has cheered not only across the USA, but internationally as well and has been featured in and on several media outlets throughout those countries.

Susan has coached cheerleaders of all ages from across the country through her work with the premier personalized cheer instruction camp in the country, Elite Cheerleading, Inc. She also has over 3 decades experience in dance instruction, choreography and competition at the local and national levels.
